Scrapbook containing a map of Europe with the Cannons' travel route drawn on. Typed document of itineraries of air travel, with arrival and departure times from and to the various destinations. Invoice for travel expenses of trip. Typed itinerary prepared by the company Union Tours for Mrs. Walter B. Cannon and Miss Elinor Lord. Correspondence between Cornelia Cannon and her family describing her travel experiences.
Photographs of many places visited, including churches, a day nursery, Chekov's house and museum, a young prisoners' camp, natural landmarks, castles, palaces, statues. Many photographs of the Georgian Military Highway in Russia. Many popular tourist destinations visited include the Potemkin Steps, the tomb of Lenin and Stalin, the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame cathedral, the Tower of London and London Bridge. Many small postcard-size copies of paintings seen in the Tretyakov art gallery in Moscow, with handwritten captions.
At the end of the scrapbook are postcards and correspondence sent to Mrs Walter Cannon, after she had returned from her trip, from people she had met when travelling. Printed booklets containing illustrations and descriptions promoting Russia as a tourist destination.
